Businesses – Let’s get greener, together!

News on behalf of Cool Shropshire & Telford.

‘Cool Shropshire & Telford’ is a free initiative designed to help SMEs and micro-businesses in identifying opportunities to be greener.

By registering with Cool Shropshire & Telford, businesses can reduce overheads through increased efficiency, enhance their reputation, and connect with like-minded businesses to share tips and ideas.

It’s easy to think that you cannot make a difference, but if everyone does their bit it can make a significant impact.

Shropshire, and Telford and Wrekin Councils have a Net Zero Target set for 2030. That’s eight years. Eight years to individually change our behaviour in a few small ways to collectively achieve a mass reduction.

We are the luckiest people in the country. We live in the most beautiful part of the world -Shropshire - and we all want our children and grandchildren to enjoy it as much as we do in the future. Sadly, the reality is we are collectively destroying it by polluting rivers, treating our soil like dirt, pumping carbon into the air, and devouring resources.

It takes less than five minutes to register your business with Cool Shropshire & Telford, and less than an hour to complete the two-step process which will leave you with some Goals to work towards over 2022-2023.
